Robotics

Build. Program. Compete.

Peddie’s Robotics Club offers a unique and exciting opportunity to dive headfirst into the world of Robotics. Our three student subteams (Engineering, Programming, Finance & Marketing) work in tandem with adult mentors and corporate sponsors. Under strict rules, limited resources and tight deadlines, you and your teammates will collaborate to build and program a 120-lb. robot to compete at the FIRST Robotics Competition.

FIRST is the oldest and largest student robotics program in the world, and the FIRST Championship is a highly competitive dual event, held in both Houston and St. Louis, and drawing 65,000 attendees from over 39 countries.

The team works out of the Izzo Design Laboratory – a state-of-the-art, 3,400-square-foot building built for robotics. The engineering lab features advanced fabrication capabilities, including a CNC mill, CNC laser and 3D printer, while the upper floor serves as a robotics practice field.
