Join Dr. Shani Peretz and Mr. Kurt Bennett and Peddie seniors for brief presentations on and information about the Signature Experience at Peddie. This Saturday, October 24 webinar offers an overview of the programs and includes the unique experiences of five Peddie students.
Build. Program. Compete.
Peddie’s Robotics Club offers a unique and exciting opportunity to dive headfirst into the world of Robotics. Our three student subteams (Engineering, Programming, Finance & Marketing) work in tandem with adult mentors and corporate sponsors. Under strict rules, limited resources and tight deadlines, you and your teammates will collaborate to build and program a 120-pound robot to compete at the FIRST Robotics Competition.
FIRST is the oldest and largest student robotics program in the world, and the FIRST Championship is a highly competitive dual event, held in both Houston, Texas and St. Louis, Mo. and drawing 65,000 attendees from over 39 countries.
The team works out of the Izzo Design Laboratory – a state-of-the-art, 3,400 square foot building purpose-built for robotics. The engineering lab features advanced fabrication capabilities, including a CNC mill, CNC laser and 3D printer, while the upper floor serves as a robotics practice field.
Peddie's Computer Science Club exceeded their own expectations when they moved their first-ever hackathon to a virtual format.
