Student Elections - Spring 2019!

Student Elections for Class Officers and Gold Key will be held on Thursday, April 25; Elections for Discipline Committee and Faculty-Student Senate will be held on Thursday, May 9. Schedule and deadlines

Thursday, April 18: Petitions and statements due for class officers due in Deans’ office by 9:00 a.m.

Thursday, April 25: Elections for class officers and Gold Key during DM/X timeslot at the Bell in Annenberg Hall

Friday, April 26: Announce election for Discipline Committee and Faculty-Student Senate; petition process begins

Thursday, May 2: Petitions and statements for Faculty-Student Senate and Discipline Committee due in the Deans Office by 9:00 a.m.

Thursday, May 9: Elections for Discipline Committee and Faculty-Student Senate  during DM/X timeslot by the Bell in Annenberg Hall

Descriptions of roles

Class Representatives

  • 3 class representatives elected for each grade (1 head rep. and 2 additional reps.).
  • Class representatives are elected by the current members of their grade.
  • Individuals must petition to be on the ballot beginning Friday, April 12.
  • Each candidate must:
    • Submit a petition with the required number of signatures.
    • Submit a written candidate statement by Thursday, April 18).
  • Election: Thursday, April 25 during DM/X timeslot by the Bell in Annenberg Hall

Faculty-Student Senate

  • Two students from any returning grade are elected.
  • All current students in grades 9, 10 and 11 are eligible to vote
  • Each candidate must:
    • Submit a petition with the required number of signatures
    • Submit a written candidate statement by Thursday, May 2
  • Election: Thursday, May 9 during DM/X timeslot by the Bell in Annenberg Hall

Discipline Committee

  • Four students from the current junior class are elected
  • All current students in grades 9, 10 and 11 are eligible to vote
  • Each candidate must:
    • Submit a petition with the required number of signatures (petition process begins Friday, April 26)
    • Submit a written candidate statement by May 2
  • Election: Thursday, May 9
