Get a first-hand look at your child's life at Peddie.

All parents and guardians are invited to visit Peddie - on-campus or virtually - during Parents Weekend. Attend your child's classes, meet their teachers and advisors, hear from the College Office and the Athletic Director, and learn from our students about the Signature Experience program.

Registration will be required for Parents Weekend; registration information coming soon via email. Individual student schedules will be available in MyBackpack in advance of the weekend.

 

COVID policies and protocols
  • Proof of vaccination will be required at check-in for those who wish to enter Peddie buildings or visit classrooms on Parents Weekend.
  • Face coverings are required indoors.
  • Visitors to campus who are unvaccinated are welcome to join us for outdoor events.

Friday, October 8

Registration

5:30 - 8 p.m., Ian H. Graham ’50 Athletic Center parking lot
Attendees should park in the Ian H. Graham ’50 Athletic Center parking lot; accessible parking for those with disabilities is available in the Annenberg Hall parking lot.

Welcome Reception

6-7 p.m., Parents Welcome Tent, upper fields (by press box)
Join parents and faculty on campus for light refreshments and conversation.

College forum: "Busting Common Myths in College Admissions"

7 p.m., Geiger Reeves Theater and livestream
Join the College Office in welcoming Karen Richardson, Dean of Admissions at Princeton University, for her presentation on "Busting Common Myths in College Admissions." Open to parents of students in grades 9-11, in person  (See COVID policies and practices above) or via livestream.

EXP-STEM Signature Experience Night

8 p.m., Erik B. Hanson '83 Field House, Ian H. Graham ’50 Athletic Center
All are welcome. Hear seniors who completed an EXP-Signature experience discuss their summer work and how it impacted their academic journey. (See COVID policies and practices above.)

Continental Breakfast

7:30 - 8:30 a.m., Parents Welcome Tent, upper fields (by press box)
Enjoy coffee and light breakfast as you head toward your classes!

Academic overview

8:30 - 11:15 a.m., classroom buildings and Zoom
Follow your child's schedule for a 15 minute overview of each class. Individual schedules for each student will be available in MyBackpack in advance of Parents Weekend. See COVID policies and practices above. (Please note: If you have questions or concerns about your child, please email their advisor and/or individual teachers to discuss; class schedule for Parents Day does not allow time for individual conversations.)

Where to find Parents Day Schedules

The schedule contains room numbers as well as Zoom links depending on how you plan to attend the event.

For those attending in person, the building abbreviations are found at the beginning of the room numbers:

  • CAH - Caspersen History House
  • ANH - Annenberg Hall
  • ANS - Annenberg Science Center
  • SWA - Swig Arts Center
  • DIFLAB - Izzo Design Laboratory

 

Picnic lunch

12-1 p.m., Parents Welcome Tent, upper fields (by press box)
Join parents, students and employees for a festive lunch; to-go options available for those attending games/matches.

Athletic contests

12:30-4 p.m., athletic fields
Cheer on the Falcons as they face The Hill School Rams!

Dorms close at 5 p.m.

Boarding students: Please note that dorms continue to be closed to families at this time. Please bring your belongings to the dorm exit nearest your family's vehicle. We encourage you to pack your cars ahead of the athletic contests.

Dorms reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12. Boarders must return by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12.


 

Advisor meetings

Should you wish to meet with your child’s advisor, please contact the advisor by email to schedule a meeting time, either in person if you are vaccinated or through a Zoom call. Parents of seniors may wish to schedule an appointment with your child’s college counselor between 8:00 and 11:15 a.m. Saturday, with the same vaccination requirement and Zoom option.

Long weekend begins after last commitment.

Dorms close at 5 p.m. Classes resume on Wednesday, October 13 (boarders return by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12).
