Peddie Summer Day School will model its Summer 2020 program after The Peddie School's robust and successful Spring Term Connected Learning experience. While our campus is closed in accordance with state and local guidelines, we look forward to providing exciting and challenging learning opportunities to our Summer Day School students.
Your children can continue to pursue their academic goals in a healthy, balanced and rewarding virtual format this summer.
Our credit and honors credit math program is designed for strong, motivated math students. These programs require commitment, self-discipline and hard work.
Our enrichment program strengthens math and writing skills in preparation for students' academic year ahead. Our math enrichment courses develop strong fundamental knowledge of Algebra, which is directly linked to future success in Precalculus, Calculus and advanced mathematics coursework. Our Integrated Language Arts enrichment courses garner rave reviews from area teachers, developing and strengthening students' reading comprehension and writing skills.
Rules and Regulations
All students are expected to behave as ladies and gentlemen. Rules are the same as those of the full-year Peddie program. Use of alcohol or prohibited drugs on campus will result in dismissal from the program. Academic and personal dishonesty will also be dealt with severely. Smoking is not allowed on campus. Parents will be informed immediately of any rules violations and their consequences. (For details, see the Student Handbook.) Students are expected to treat each other and their teachers with respect at all times. Regular class attendance is expected. Absences? Call Summer School Office at 609-944-7520.
Honors and Credit Courses — missed class policy. Students who are taking courses for credit should make every effort to attend every class; each summer-class day covers the equivalent of one week's work during the full school year. Students will be held accountable for material missed during absences. Students who miss more than two days of classes for any reason, excused or unexcused, will not be recommended for credit. There are no refunds for classes or days missed for any reason. Questions? Please contact the Summer School office at 609-944-7520.
Requests can be made to place students together in a section; each student's parent/guardian must email email@example.com to make this request. While every effort will be made to honor these requests, there are no guarantees. Requests for specific teachers are not accepted.
Drop Off and Pickup
Changes are being made to the summer drop-off and pick-up policy. Instructions for drop-off and pick-up will be communicated well in advance of the first day of class on July 1.
