Summer programming has been offered at Peddie for close to 100 years. During Summer 2018, we are re-centering our summer programming around our flagship Summer Day School in an effort to align our mission to that of Peddie School.
In addition to continuing to offer our top-notch academic program, Summer Day School will be partnering with athletic, tech, and additional outside programs to offer students balanced and well-rounded growth opportunities. Explore our offerings below - we hope to see you this summer!
Online through Wednesday, June 20: Summer Day School will continue to accept online registrations until midnight on Wednesday, June 20
In person after June 20: After June 20, registrations will be accepted in person at the Summer School Office in Caspersen History House.
Currently, there are spaces available in ALL summer courses.
Summer Day School at Peddie is a six-week session geared toward rising sixth-through-twelfth graders. Students can choose from a variety of courses across disciplines, and classes are small, with no more than 12-16 students per section. Our credit math program is second-to-none and offers advancing credit in courses from Pre-Algebra through Calculus AB. Essay Writing and English classes develop students' advanced writing and comprehension skills to prepare them for middle school and the transition to high school, and enrichment courses reinforce skills, boost confidence and move students closer to fulfilling their academic goals.
The Summer Theater Camps enter their 25th year at Peddie in Summer 2018.
Green Apple Theater Camp, led by legendary local theater arts teacher Paul Sulyak, excites young thespians (ages 8-11) at the start of their acting careers, while Summer Theater Camp, led masterfully by local theater and dance instructor Candace Clough, takes older campers (ages 11-15) to the next level, preparing them for the high school stage and beyond. Master classes, workshops with Broadway professionals and Peddie School arts faculty will also be offered. Previous stage experience is welcome but not required for Summer Theater Camps.
