Dozens of Falcons leave the nest each year to compete at the next level. Following are the latest season highlights from our Peddie alumni athletes competing in college.
Codella earned a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive with a 218.95, as one of Colgate women's swimming and diving team’s 12 event victories in a 184-57 win over Le Moyne on Oct. 20, 2023.
Coleman appeared in 21 games, and averaged 5.8 points and 21.1 minutes in his first season with Swarthmore College men’s basketball. He scored a career-high 15 points in 34 minutes in a 75-65 road win over McDaniel College on Jan. 9, 2024.
In his first season, Coleman appeared in 10 games for Brandeis University.
Lewis was part of the American University Men’s Track and Field 4x400-meter relay quartet who achieved another record-breaking performance. The team rewrote the history books after breaking a 22-year old record, set in 2002, after they ran a 3:22.81 during the Patriot League Championships on Feb. 25, 2024. Individually, Lewis broke a school record in the 400-meter dash (49.48).
Stout started in all seven games thus far as of March 8, 2023, during his first season for Gettysburg College Baseball.
Tam was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast All-Region team in March 2024. Tam earned all-region honors in the 60-meter hurdles, after a 8.31-second performance at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on March 2, 2024, to place fourth in the Mideast. An athlete must finish the season in the top-five spots in their event to be awarded the honor.
Arnett played in every one of his team’s 29 games during the 2023-24 season and averaged 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15.9 minutes.
The tight end appeared in three games (all wins) during the 2023 season.
Codella appeared in three games during the 2023 season.
In 2022-23, Dial began the spring season in the 2V4 and moved up to the 1V4 late in the year. She guided the 1V4 to a fourth-place finish at the Patriot League Championships and also helped the 1V4 to dual wins over Villanova, Delaware and Lehigh.
The defensive lineman appeared in all nine of the team’s games in 2023 and made 21 total tackles (11 solo).
Grant was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2023.
Jones appeared in 17 games during the 2023-24 season.
Liu was a part of a nationally-ranked rowing program in 2023. He rowed in the 2V8+.
Nguyen placed fourth of 114 at the Harry Long Invitational (6K) in 19:07.9 on Sept. 2, 2023 and a week later finished fourth of 89 at the Navy Invitational (7.9K) in 25:04.0 a week later.
O’Neill appeared in four games as a first-year in 2023, and had two assists and one ground ball. He earned his first collegiate point and grabbed a ground ball in a win over Emerson on March 11, 2023, and added another assist in the Liberty League championship game at RIT on May 7, 2023.
The defender started in 12 of 15 games he appeared in during the 2023 season.
The pitcher recorded his first collegiate win against Marist on April 2, 2023. He struck out 27 in 38.1 innings pitched.
Samoura appeared in 25 games and started in five during the 2023-24 season. He averaged 8.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18 minutes. He also tallied 31 blocks and 17 steals defensively.
Smarr appeared in two games during the 2023 season.
Stillwell appeared in five games during the 2023 season.
Dorey was a 2023 NCAA Qualifier. He was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division III All-American Scholars list in August 2023.
Williams-Johnson started in all 26 games in the 2023-24 season. He was second on the team with 14.2 points per game and averaged 29.5 minutes per game.
The defensive lineman played in 11 of the team’s 12 games in 2023. Bariteau entered the starting lineup for the first time in his career against Michigan as a junior in 2022. He would then go on to start every game of the season, except the contest against Middle Tennessee.
In his first season with Edinboro University Men’s Basketball, the junior averaged a team-high 20 points and started all 28 games.
Cettina was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in 2023, after appearing in 32 games with 26 starts. He is also a two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree (2022 and 2023).
Gorajek helped lead Army women's lacrosse to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2023, where she led the team with three goals and four points in the First Round game against No. 7 James Madison. She was named an All-Patriot League Second Team selection and was third on the Black Knights with 49 points. Gorajek tallied 37 goals to go along with 12 assists and 22 ground balls. She played in all 19 games, while starting in 17 for the Black Knights in 2023. In 2022, Gorajek was named to the All-Patriot League First Team following the season.
Hawkins played in seven of the team’s 10 games in 2023.
The linebacker played in every game for Wagner College each of the last three seasons. He tallied a career-high 41 total tackles during the 2023 season.
The offensive lineman played in 10 of the team’s 13 games in 2023 and had a 17-yard carry.
O’Neill was named First-Team All-NCAC in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023 he was also named USILA Honorable Mention All-American and IMLCA Honorable Mention All-Region. The year prior he was named IMLCA Second-Team All-Region and to the NCAC All-Tournament team. In 2022 he was second on the team in ground balls with 62.
The lineman played in eight of the team’s 11 games in 2023.
The quarterback is a two-time Walter Payton Award finalist (2022 and 2023) and was named 2023 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year. In 2023, Sluka set a Division I single-game record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 330 yards on the ground — more rushing yards ever recorded than any FBS or FCS quarterback, while running for three touchdowns and throwing for one against Lafayette on Oct. 21, 2023. He is a two-time All-Patriot League First Team (2022 and 2023) honoree and was named Team MVP in 2022.
The senior is a captain for the Oberlin College women’s swimming team. She leads by example, setting the tone for productive practices and supporting her team. Weber makes it a point to swim in the middle lane and be one of, if not the first, people in the water every day to set the mood for a productive practice.
Reid won 2023-24 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and led the team with 114 assists.
