Dear Alumni and Friends,

After thoughtful discussion with health, school and alumni leaders regarding the spread of COVID-19, Peddie has decided to postpone all on-campus Alumni and Development spring 2020 events — most notably, spring Reunion Weekend. While we will miss seeing you and the hundreds of Falcons and friends who return every year for this much-loved gathering, the health and safety of our Peddie family is paramount.

Additionally, Sports Hall of Fame Director Barb Grudt will be reaching out to inductees in the coming days to share plans for honoring this class.

Peddie Loyalty Day, another anticipated annual celebration, will also be rescheduled. We look forward to bringing Falcons together for this event at a future time, and with pride and renewed excitement.

Although these A&D spring events have been postponed, rest assured that Peddie continues to move forward: Our extraordinary teachers are conducting classes with students all over the world via online platforms Canvas and Zoom. And our students have been adapting to virtual learning with resilience and grace, as well as supporting each other during this difficult time.

Thanks to the kind generosity of our alumni, we've also created the Steady Peddie Fund. This special fund is designed to give the Head of School the ability to provide financial assistance to students, faculty and staff in times of demonstrated need, such as in the wake of COVID-19. These are typically unanticipated needs which require a timely and compassionate response from the school. Peddie is humbled and grateful for your support, especially in difficult times like this.

You can learn more about Peddie's response to the health pandemic here. In the meantime, watch for creative ways we'll be connecting with you over the next few weeks. Our sense of community endures, and we look forward to the next step ahead.

Ala Viva, Falcons. Stay safe.
