Both on and off the field, Team Manley ‒ Catherine and James Manley Sr., James Manley Jr. ‘82, Kate Manley Sekely ‘82, and Angie Manley Cook ‘84 ‒ has been one of the great teams in Peddie athletics. The parents and children have combined to demonstrate the highest levels of athletic ability, sportsmanship, and commitment to Peddie.

Kate Manley Sekely remains on of the finest field hockey and lacrosse players ever to play at Peddie. During her senior year, Kate captained the Peddie Field Hockey team to an undefeated regular season and a second place finish in the prep state championship. For her exceptional skills and leadership on the field, Kate earned All-County, All State and All-Star recognition. While at Peddie she captained two varsity sports ‒ Field Hockey and Lacrosse ‒ and was selected to various All State and All Star teams for both years she played at Peddie. Kate also played varsity basketball where she harnessed her athletic ability to be the team’s rebounding leader. Kate is truly one of the finest female athletes in Peddie’s history.

For his exploits on the football field, he earned All-State, All-Star, and All-Prep recognition. He was also named as an All American Prep football player. Jim played basketball for two years earning Honorable Mention All American Prep Basketball player status in his junior year. As a leader both on and off the field, Jim was a key member of Peddie’s initial Peer Leadership Program. Both on and off the field, he was recognized for giving 100%.
