At Peddie, athletics are not an addition to your education, they are part of your education. Lessons learned on the fields, courts and courses stay with you for life. Your coach (who might just be your math teacher or dorm supervisor) will mentor you and challenge you to be your best.

The Peddie varsity girls basketball team (1-13) fell to Lawrence High School, 65-25, on the road. Sam Forte and Runyao Yuan each scored a team-high eight points. The Falcons next travel to The Hill School on Friday, Jan. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Indoor Track – Varsity Coed vs. Peddie Invitational
The Peddie indoor track and field team hosted and competed in the second Peddie Invitational of the season.

Basketball – JV Girls at Lawrence High School
The Peddie junior varsity girls basketball team (0-5) fell to Lawrence High School, 45-18, on the road. Emily Griegel tallied a team-high seven points and five rebounds. Anh Tran added five points and Myra Singhal had four. Paris Wreaks had five steals and Brooke Berlinger recorded two blocks. The Falcons next travel to The Pennington School on Friday, Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m.

The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the Pines Barrens Duals at Shawnee High School. The Falcons (6-8) fell to Washington Township (58-17), fell to Shawnee High School (50-28) and fell to Delsea (60-8).

The Peddie varsity swimming team competed against and hosted The Hun School of Princeton and The Wilberforce School in a tri-meet at home.

Basketball – Varsity Girls vs. Kimberton Waldorf School
The Peddie varsity girls basketball team (1-11) fell to Kimberton Waldorf School, 36-35, at home. Bella Borde scored a team-high 12 points. Borde made a 3-pointer with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to cut the Peddie deficit to 36-35. Saanvi Gudapati added six points and had multiple offensive rebounds. The Falcons next host Mercersburg Academy on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 12 p.m. at Erik B. Hanson ’83 Field House, Court 1.
Basketball – Varsity Boys at George School
The Peddie varsity wrestling team (6-5) defeated The Haverford School, 41-36, at home, on Senior Day. Oliver Goodman, Sarah Karlekar, Benedict Kiely, Reed Oliver (Post-Grad), Aiden Wan, Charlie White and William Wu were recognized for Senior Day prior to the match.

Basketball – Varsity Boys at The Hill School
The Peddie varsity boys basketball team (13-5) defeated The Hill School, 64-61, on the road. With Peddie leading 62-61 and 1.4 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Ethan Nelson threw in the inbound pass which deflected off a defender, got the ball back and made a layup as time expired to seal the 64-61 Peddie victory. Josiah Broko scored a team-high 16 points. Gabe Hornberger added 13 points. Nelson tallied 13 points. The Falcons next travel to George School on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 5 p.m.
Swimming – Varsity Coed vs. Germantown Academy
The Peddie varsity swimming team hosted and competed against Germantown Academy in a dual-meet at home. The girls 200-yard medley relay team of Hannah Bateman, Mary Bao, Zoe Tashjian and Lola Early (1:42.86) broke two records, according to head coach Emmett Walling. The first record was a Peddie team record from 2007 and the second was the pool record from 2016. Individually, Mary Bao set a school record in the girls 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.04) that previously stood since 1995.
Team scores: Germantown Academy boys 92, Peddie 78. Germantown Academy girls 102, Peddie 68.
