Varsity Cross Country

Peddie's Cross-Country program is defined by endurance, spirit, and most of all, a simple love of running.

Peddie Cross Country emphasizes the value of every race and practice with the end goal of improving throughout the season and running our best on Blair Day and in our championship races, including the Jerry Hart Memorial Invitational, MAPL and Prep A. Our training works to develop our runners' speed and endurance through interval work, longer runs, and cross-training. Running mechanics, recovery techniques, racing and pacing strategies, strength training, and proper nutrition are also emphasized. Above all, the program's goal is to instill in its athletes the joy of running while promoting team spirit, self-reflection, and consistent effort. Our team is home to all kinds of runners, from those new to the sport to experienced competitors who plan to run at the college level.
