Photography II

Prerequisite:  Photography 

This course is an opportunity for students to sharpen the technical and conceptual skills they began to develop in Photography I.  Students are challenged to explore the potential of photography to examine the world around them in a more rigorous manner. Projects include investigations of landscape, personal narrative, documentation, and digital manipulation with Adobe Photoshop. In addition, students are exposed to the work of contemporary artists who are using photography to address political, social, and philosophical issues.  (Digital SLR cameras are available for loan through the arts department.)
