Prerequisite: French I
Students continue to develop the four language skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading and build upon the foundation of French I in order to add complexity to their expression and comprehension. The main objective in the classroom is effective communication and language comprehension. Students are encouraged to actively take risks and make mistakes in order to develop their language skills. In addition, students interact with each other regularly in partner and group activities using authentic resources and technology. Thematic units, highlighting francophone culture, present grammar and vocabulary French is the principal language of the classroom. French II lays the foundation for students to attain success in the upper levels.
