Term: 1 (not offered every term)
Grades: 10, 11, 12, PG

The world’s religions have profound influences on culture, tradition, and government. Even today, they impact individual lives and whole societies. In this course, students will learn the major tenets of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Indigenous traditions, Islam, Judaism, and Paganism. They will be able to distinguish differences and connect similarities between these belief systems. Students will engage with sacred texts, films, religious practices, art, iconography, and guest speakers in order to better understand the culture, history, and practices of how these have changed over time.
