AP European History covers the history of Europe from the High Renaissance through the end of the twentieth century.  Students will consider moments in European history that are both relevant and crucial to shaping an informed understanding of our world today.

Woven into the political, economic, and religious revolutions that occurred in Europe, we will examine the roles of women in these major events as well as in daily life.  We will study how European people left their continent to first explore and then exploit other areas of the world, and the impact that has had on groups across the globe.  We will also study how various people challenged the power of the state and various institutions of power in the areas of gender, race, and class in order to change the world that they lived in.

Note: Students taking this course are required to take the AP European History exam.
