This course is designed to provide an additional performance opportunity for our younger students interested in musical theater while developing their skills and enhancing their confidence. Enrolled students spend the first few days building their confidence as an ensemble while playing theater games and learning the storyline and songs of a junior version of a popular musical. Auditions follow after which all members of the course are cast in the play. During each class for the remainder of the fall term, the ensemble meets with the directors and choreographer to rehearse. Unlike other drama productions which are extracurricular, all rehearsals for the Freshman Musical will happen during the regularly scheduled class period. These efforts culminate in a one-night performance for the Peddie community.
