Film and Video

Film and Video

Terms: 2 (Fall and Winter)
Grades : 10,11,12,PG

In Film and Video, students are exposed to the process of shooting video, editing footage, mixing audio and building original narratives. During the course, students make a short documentary video with one of their classmates and shoot footage for another video on location in New York City. In the second half of the term, filmmakers collaborate with students enrolled in a theater class, developing a final narrative video which they will direct, shoot, and edit.  Additionally, the class will view several feature length films to provide insight into the use of light, sound, and shot composition.
