We recognize the relevance of mathematics in the modern world, and that its continued growth relies on the contributions of men and women from many cultures.
We'll encourage you to be an active participant in your own learning, to work both independently and in collaboration with your classmates. We'll help you gain a deeper understanding of coursework rather than focus on short-term memorization techniques. We'll challenge you to become a better problem solver, and to recognize that math can be fun. Our curriculum is rigorous, and we provide the support necessary to meet these high standards.
In addition to the core sequence of courses (Core, Advanced, Honors) leading up to the Calculus level, we offer courses in economics, financial markets, and computer science and programming, as well as Statistics, Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus. Students can prepare for Advanced Placement exams in Statistics, Calculus AB, Calculus BC and Computer Science.
Our emphasis on problem solving gives students greater ownership of the learning process. It also creates an ideal environment to foster communication, collaboration, and critical and creative thinking, skills that go beyond mathematical content but are essential to succeed in today's workplace.
