Predicting Malaria Outbreak in Namibia Using Machine Learning
I used coding techniques, such as Java, Python, Google Earth Engine, to map out potential areas of risk for Malaria. Using python, I created a table with a list of the fastest urbanizing countries. From there, I used a classification system and probability model to create a map with the areas that are more likely to have malaria cases.
Learning coding from this EXP program has shown me the need of persistence when working with code and learning what I can figure out. Hanni Kim ’21
