Valedictorian and Potter Scholar Haley Peters ’10 was also the recipient of the Wyckoff Honor Prize. On the court, Peters earned second place on Peddie’s on the all-time scoring list, and was McDonald’s All-American basketball player and New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year.

A three-time Atlantic Coast conference honor roll student and Presidential Scholar candidate, Haley wrote a thesis on humanitarian intervention while at Duke. She also captained the Blue Devils women’s basketball team to two conference championships.

After playing professionally in Spain for two years, Haley earned a roster spot with the San Antonio Stars of the Women’s National Basketball Association. She intends to pursue a medical degree following her basketball career.
