Faculty Transitions

Congratulations to faculty members Nicholas Guilbert, Lauri Lewis and Brad Nicholson who left Peddie at the end of the 2020-21 academic year.
 

Nick Guilbert

Nicholas Guilbert

Years at Peddie: 37

Positions and notable contributions: Physics teacher. Guilbert served under five different Heads of School during his 37-year tenure.

What’s next: Nick is moving to North Carolina to teach physics at a small private school.

Lauri Lewis

Lauri Lewis

Years at Peddie: 11

Positions and notable contributions: Mathematics teacher, designer of “Peddie’s Statistical Reasoning in Sports,” an accessible, simulation-based approach to Statistics.

What’s next: Lauri is moving to the Raleigh area in North Carolina to be near her children and three grandchildren.

I have worked with some amazing colleagues, particularly women. Kate Nicholson, Lindy Davis, Mary Palilonis, Betty Tennyson – those are four women who made such an impact on me.

 

Brad Nicholson

Bradley Nicholson

Years at Peddie: 14

Positions and notable contributions: History teacher, developed Peddie’s Asian Studies Program, the Asian Studies electives and Modern Global History.

What’s next: After his daughter graduates from high school, Brad plans to buy a house in the mountains of New Hampshire where he can be closer to nature and write a book or two.  

One Peddie highlight was taking a group of kids to Dharamsala, India, where we met the Dalai Lama at his monastery and had a 75-minute Q&A with the kids.
