Stotesbury Success!

The Peddie boys and girls senior fours both made it to the podium at the prestigious Stotesbury Cup Regatta this spring. Each boat captured bronze medals; Peddie was the only school to place crews in both finals.

This is the first time a Falcon senior boys four entry has claimed a medal at this competition. The girls last appeared on the podium in 2011.

In the most heavily populated categories with more than 50 participants, both Falcon teams earned fifth place in time trials over a distance of 1500 meters. The 18 fastest competitors moved into a three-race semifinal stage where Peddie's senior boats each placed second to advance to the six-team finals.

The 93rd annual Regatta was held on the Schuylkill in Philadelphia. Billed as the world's oldest and largest high school rowing competition, there were 189 schools registered with 951 boats and 5,495 athletes.
