Girls’ Golf Claims First Ever Mercer County Title

Led by Emma Li '24, the Peddie girls' golf team captured its first-ever Mercer County Girls' Golf Championships during a steady rain at the Princeton Golf Course.

"We just came off of a heartbreaking playoff loss at the MAPL Championships," said head coach Brian Dubrule. "But I told the girls that if we shot the same score, or close to it on Friday, we'd have a great chance at winning counties. And that's just what they did. At MAPLs the girls shot 332, and at the Mercer County Championship, they shot 334. It was a great win for the team and for our golf program."

The Falcons shot a 334 as a team to stay ahead of second-place Princeton's four-player total of 336.

"Being able to win this tournament feels especially rewarding given all the hard work we’ve put in this season" said Li. "I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to share this win with and am just so proud of all of us for coming together and securing this win for Peddie."
