Boys' swimmers break relay records at Easterns

The Falcons came away from Day One of Easterns Swimming Championships with the 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle relay titles and in the process broke the meet, school and Franklin & Marshall pool records in each event.

The team of seniors Michael BlankJoe BlackNoah Houskeeper and junior Trey Ike combined to take the medley relay in 1:30.23, eclipsing the mark of 1:30.27 (Blank, Black, Houskeeper, Nathan Stern) set last year at the same meet. In the sprint relay, the foursome of senior Nathan Stern, Blank, Ike and Black got to the wall in a blistering 1:21.76, replacing the same quartet's standard of 1:21.99 established a year ago. Blank split a quick 19.63 on the second leg and earlier broke a long-standing Peddie mark in the 50 free with a 20.34 which was previously held by Mark Sedlak '90 (20.43) from 1990.
