Jose Roca joined Peddie in 1997 as head athletic trainer. As the liaison between the Athletics Department and the Health Center staff, he works to provide the highest quality of healthcare to all students engaged in physical activities.

He is a certified athletic trainer in the state of New Jersey, which means he has earned a degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, passed a comprehensive exam administered by the Board of Certification, Inc., an independent cooperation that reviews the standards of practice and continuing education requirements, is licensed by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and pursues mandatory continuing education.

Jose also teaches Community Life and serves as dorm faculty and student advisor. He and his wife, Deb (Technology Department) live on campus and have two daughters.
