Athletic Training

Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers are health care professionals who work under the supervision of Peddie School physician. They work collaboratively with many physicians, orthopedic surgeons, Peddie School nurses, and our strength and conditioning coach to optimize the best care for students of Peddie School.

Both Roca and Gerber are certified athletic trainers in the state of New Jersey. New Jersey certified athletic trainers must:
  • have earned a B.S. or M.S degree from an institution accredited by the Comission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
  • have passed a comprehensive exam administered by the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC); an independent cooperation that reviews the standards of practice and continuing education requirements (
  • have been licensed by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners
  • pursue mandatory continuing education units
