Peddie is fortunate to have some of the finest athletic facilities of any secondary school in the nation. A recent major athletic center expansion and renovation project significantly improved the quality of our overall athletic facilities. Key improvements are a 35m pool, a synthetic turf field, an updated equipment cage, entry, circulation and meeting space and an expanded fitness center and department offices. The track has been resurfaced, the football field re-sodded, and new bleachers have been installed. Currently, Peddie offers four soccer fields, two football fields (including Maurice P. Shuman Football Field, complete with permanent stands and a press box), two field hockey fields, four lacrosse fields, two baseball diamonds (including the William Thompson Baseball Field, complete with stands, dugouts and batting cages), a softball field (with batting cage), ten hardcourt tennis courts, the outstanding 18-hole Peddie School Golf Course (located ¼ mile south of the main campus), and a bay at the Finn M.W. Caspersen Rowing Center on Mercer Lake (home of US Rowing and the National team).
In addition to hosting Peddie School student teams, the Golf Club
and aquatic center
are also used by members of the wider community.
