A professional training program for students ages 11-15
This is the 24th year that Peddie School has offered this program which is directed Candace Woodward-Clough. Each session culminates in a Saturday morning "Stars of Tomorrow" showcase performance where certificates of completion are awarded. The fee includes a full lunch program in the Peddie School cafeteria. Each session's enrollment is limited to 40 students. Students will participate in each of the following classes:Acting
An exciting course designed to develop the imagination, release creativity, and encourage more effective communication both on and off the stage. Learning to listen and more confident self-expression are the goals as the student gains more confidence and experiences the personal fulfillment of working with others in an artistic setting.
A unique class that combines vocal training, reading music, sight singing, projection, stage movement, and the techniques of both solo and group performance. Students with little or no musical training will receive good basic instruction; while more experienced students will receive more advanced training.Dance
Instruction includes jazz dance, musical comedy, and basic movement. As in other classes, students will be auditioned and grouped with others of comparable ability and experience. All students will participate in the staging of at least one musical number.2014 Camp dates:
Session 1: July 7 - July 19
Session 2: July 21 - August 2
Last day of each summer theater session is the Saturday morning performance.
