Are you a self-motivated high school or middle school student who would like to spend some productive time this summer advancing in your coursework? Or are you looking for enrichment courses in anything from essay writing to science? If so, the Peddie Summer Day School is right for you!

When:  Our program runs for six weeks. New credit courses are held in the morning and consist of one full hour of class followed by one hour of supervised study and group work, then a second hour of class, and winding up with an hour of testing or review. Enrichment courses consist of two hours of class and one hour of supervised study. Honors credit courses have the same schedule plus an additional hour after lunch. A course in SAT Preparation is offered during the morning, and also during the afternoon for four weeks in July. All enrichment courses are offered in the morning. A limited selection of enrichment classes is also offered in the afternoon from 1-3 p.m. After care is available from 3:00-5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

What:  We offer traditional high-school and middle-school subjects (English, math) at all levels, plus specialized subjects, such as essay writing, biology, chemistry, physics, and Spanish. Advancement courses are offered in Algebra I, Algebra I Part 2, Algebra I Honors, Geometry, Geometry Honors, Algebra II, Algebra II Honors, Precalculus, Precalculus Honors, and Calculus AB.

Who:  The Summer Day School is for academically motivated students who have completed grades 5 – 12. It is open to both Peddie and non-Peddie students.

Where:  Students are taught in air-conditioned classrooms on Peddie’s bucolic 280-acre campus, located in Hightstown, N.J. Get directions to Peddie.

Also available: The Summer Day School program also offers a supervised academic study hall each day from 1 – 3:30 p.m. for students whose parents cannot pick them up promptly when their courses are completed earlier in the day.
