The Peddie boys' swimming team proved to be too much for Mercersburg as the Falcons came away with a 118-65 victory on Saturday at the Blue Storm's Flanagan Pool. For the sixth time, the Falcons emerged unscathed and will be in the hunt for a perfect dual-meet season at the Hill School on Wednesday. In the girls' lanes, the Falcons dropped a 111-66 decision to Mercersburg and now stand at 2-6 on the 2016-17 campaign.
With 12 seconds remaining in the game and a one-point lead, senior point guard Tyler Jones nailed both ends of a one-and-one to help secure the 65-62 win over Lawrenceville on Saturday night at Big Red's Lavino Field House. The Falcons improve to 2-2 in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League and 11-5 overall. Peddie came back on the court on Sunday and fell to St. Anthony's from Jersey City, 70-46.
A strong start for Peddie propelled the Falcons to a 49-38 win over Mid-Atlantic Prep League rival Lawrenceville on Saturday afternoon at Big Red's Lavino Field House. Junior Natalie Stralkus bombed in five 3-pointers on the way to 23 points, while freshman Janayshia Brown chimed in with 14 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks.
The Peddie girls' basketball team dropped a tough game to Blair Academy on Wednesday afternoon in the Erik B. Hanson Field House, falling to the Bucs 86-46. With the loss, the Falcons are now 3-8 and 1-2 in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, while Blair improves to a 2-0 in the MAPL, 8-3 overall.
