2024 COMMENCEMENT WEEKEND Schedule of events


 

Thursday, May 23

Junior-Senior Prom

Special class schedule:  

  • 8:50 a.m. - D Block
  • 10:15 a.m. - E Block
  • 10:20  11:15 a.m. - G Block
  • 11:20 a.m.  12:10 p.m. - F Block

4 – 6 p.m.: Pre-Prom: (Families and friends welcome) Photo opportunities and light refreshments (sponsored by the PPA) Center Campus Tent

6 – 11 p.m.: Prom: Attendees will be transported by bus to and from prom. No students are permitted to drive.

Post-Prom pick-up: Parents will receive details on pick-up via email. No day or boarding student may drive themselves from campus after prom. The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Science Center

Friday, May 24

No classes for Juniors, Seniors and PGs

Please Note: This is an on-campus weekend. All boarding students (including graduates) are expected to stay in their dorms this weekend. 

5 p.m.: Senior and PG boarders must return to campus

7 p.m.: Class of 2024 Dinner (Seniors and PGs only) Caspersen Campus Center, Dining Hall

Saturday, May 25

Baccalaureate

8 – 10:55 a.m. Classes for all underclassmen – special schedule

11 a.m.: Moving Up Chapel (required attendance for all students; students and employees only), Ayer Memorial Chapel

11:30 a.m.: Commencement Rehearsal and Lunch (required attendance for seniors and PGs, immediately after Moving Up Chapel), Ayer Memorial Chapel

12 – 2 p.m.: International Family LunchSwetland House

5 p.m.: Students' Cookout (all students including graduates and their siblings), In front of Avery

5 p.m.: Baccalaureate Dinner (senior parents/guardians only; register here), Caspersen Campus Center, Dining Hall

7:50 p.m.: Academic Procession, graduates and faculty line up in Annenberg Hall

8 p.m.: Baccalaureate Service (graduates and family members), Center Campus Tent Livestream

*Note – This is an on-campus evening; all boarding students in grades 9-12 and PGs are expected to stay on campus.

Parking for Baccalaureate Dinner and Baccalaureate can be accessed at the main campus entrance (139 East Ward St. Hightstown, NJ 08520).

Sunday, May 26

Commencement

Please Note: Tickets are not required.

7:30 a.m.: Breakfast for graduates, guests and students, Caspersen Campus Center, Dining Hall

9 a.m.: Class of 2024 Picture/Planting of the Ivy Annenberg Hall steps

10:15 a.m.: Academic Procession Seniors, PGs and faculty line up outside the Peddie Arts Center

10:30 a.m.: Commencement (all students required to attend), Center Campus Tent Livestream

12 p.m.: Lunch for graduates, guests and students Caspersen Campus Center, Dining Hall

*Note: All boarding seniors and PGs must be moved out of their dorms by 5 p.m.

Parking for Commencement is at the Ian H. Graham ’50 Athletic Center entrance off Etra Road (155 Etra Rd, Hightstown, NJ 08520); shuttle buses to center campus will be available.

Passengers may be dropped off through the main entrance off Ward Street before proceeding to Athletic Center parking.

Baccalaureate and Commencement photos

Highpoint's professional photographers will be available outside of the tent before and after the ceremony to take family photos (no advance scheduling required). They will be taking candid and formal photos (including diploma photos) before, during and after the Commencement ceremony. These photos will be available for purchase through Highpoint Pictures. Families of seniors will receive an email with instructions on how to order Highpoint photos.

Candid photos taken during the Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies will be posted to Peddie's Flickr album following these ceremonies, where they can be shared and downloaded free of charge.

 

The Peddie Store

Congratulations Class of 2024! The Peddie Store in the Campus Center will be open from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. on Sunday, May 26 for last-minute gift shopping.
