The Peddie girls' basketball team dropped a tough game to Blair Academy on Wednesday afternoon in the Erik B. Hanson Field House, falling to the Bucs 86-46. With the loss, the Falcons are now 3-8 and 1-2 in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, while Blair improves to a 2-0 in the MAPL, 8-3 overall.
Bolstered by four pins, Peddie wrestlers came away with an impressive 45-15 victory over Newark Collegiate Academy on Wednesday, notching the first win for new head coach Austin Frank. The Falcons are 1-1 in dual meet competition.
Peddie built a 39-29 lead at halftime, but the visitors from Blairstown finished 17-of-22 from the field to shoot 77.3 percent in the second half and take home a 73-66 victory in Mid-Atlantic Prep League action on Wednesday at the Erik B. Hanson Field House. The Falcons fall to 10-4 overall and 1-2 in the MAPL while the Bucs improve to 12-2 and 3-0 in conference play.
The fans that made it out to the Erik B. Hanson Field House Saturday night witnessed a true barnburner with the visiting Hill School Blues coming away with the 54-51 victory over Peddie in a free throw finish and missed opportunities.
